If God is good… then why did THAT happen?
The episode sparked something—and we want to hear from you.
Hey family,
When we dropped the first episode of Season 3—“Is God Really Good All the Time?”—we didn’t know how it would land. We just knew we had to talk about it.
And then y’all showed up.
In our DMs, in the comments, in real-life convos, you said things like:
“This is what I’ve been feeling but didn’t know how to say out loud.”
OR
That’s exactly why we’re here.
In this episode, we talk about what it really means to trust God’s goodness when life feels anything but good. From doubts about His character to unlearning prosperity gospel thinking 👀, we wrestle with how to move from fear-based faith to a relationship rooted in love. And of course, we share our own stories, ask the hard questions, and revisit familiar Bible stories as a reminder that purpose can rise from pain.

What We’re Still Thinking About
After we hit "stop" on the recording, we couldn’t stop thinking about this:
How many people are walking around with pain they’ve been told to spiritualize instead of grieve?
The kind of pain that doesn’t go away with a “just have faith” or “God’s got a plan” response.
We’ve both lived through seasons where it felt like God was silent, or worse, absent. This conversation helped us remember that faith isn’t pretending everything is fine. It’s learning to trust that God is still good, even when life is not.
